2025 Update - Why Undated?

2025 Update - Why Undated?
So why go undated? This is something we've thoughtfully considered for years and while we truly believe it's the right direction for Unbound at this time, we understand it can be a big change for some of our beloved customers. So, for those interested, here's a bit more of an explanation on why we think undated planners rock.
  • Flexibility: So much flexibility. You can choose exactly when you'd like to begin your planner - whether that's at the start of the year, the middle, or anywhere in between. You choose how to date your planner, whether that's all at once (takes about 45 mins), or as you go along (if you prefer to take time off from planning here and there and don't want "wasted" pages). You also choose which holidays are important enough to include on your calendar. And finally, you don't have to wait for next year's dated planners to release - you can order anytime!
  • Sustainability: A dated product inevitably has a very short shelf life, but in manufacturing, costs come down the more you purchase. Combining these two factors means it's very easy to have a surplus in product that gets wasted. The opposite is that you don't order enough, costs are higher, and people miss out. An undated planner completely solves these problems. They don't become obsolete within six months, costs remain more manageable, and it's easier to keep the inventory levels stable.
  • A more peaceful business cycle: Building onto the idea above, a dated planner creates very urgent, intense business operations for the last several months of the year. While some of this is existent in any business, it's especially so with a product that's only relevant for a few months. After seven wonderful years, our family needed to try a new, more gentler route.
All that said, we are always open to pivoting, evolving, and trying new things. Thoughtful, considerate feedback is always appreciated, so please never hesitate to reach out.
